The people quoting the job are the people running it.
Civilised Contracting is the civil arm builders and developers bring in before anything else can start on site — demolition, excavation, shoring and piling handled as an extension of the build team, not a transactional subcontractor.
Early works shouldn't be the risky part of your programme.
Founded in 2023 by Alex D'Agruma and Afram Hanna — two owner-operators whose combined civil and construction experience dates back to 1988. Most delays at the start of a build trace back to the same thing: the civil contractor treats the dig as the job. We treat the building as the job.
Before we mobilise, we've read the structural set, talked to the trades that follow us, and sequenced our work around what they need — so handover is a date, not a negotiation.
We deliberately run a limited number of projects at once. It keeps the owner-operators on site, keeps attention undiluted, and means the person who priced your job is the one answering the phone when something in the ground surprises everyone.

Prices and plans every job — quoting, sequencing, compliance and the trades that follow, sorted before the first machine arrives.
We plan for what happens after we leave.
Ahead of the next trade
We forecast what the following contractor needs before we finish, and sequence our own work around it.
Owner-operated accountability
The people who quote the job are the people running it on site, every time.
Technically unafraid
Rock, tight urban access, underpinning, boundary-adjacent shoring — the sites others quote around.
Selective, and growing
A deliberately limited number of clients at once, while building capacity to take on more.
Relief, not risk
What we sell is a builder's peace of mind about the start of the job, not a list of services.
